Description: High cheekbones, short black hair and a slight, permanent coloring to his skin-- he's half Japanese. Dark eyes considering quietly his company and how the world went. There were lines, just at his lips, just at his eyes, that spoke of countless hours that he labored in the sun squinting. There is a faded, old red ribbon tied to his wrist. It is... some kind of a reminder. He His personality? Tag is loving, caring and very dedicated to anyone in his life. However, he's not very chatty, he's not very demonstrative. He likes to be talked to, he likes to listen. He likes to fix things and feel helpful.

For him expressing love is through acts of service. He gets awkward when he's thanked too much. He's trying to be more talkative and interactive with people.

He misses the feudal system he fought against. He hates the feudal system that exiled him. He's thirty two now and doesn't know how to reconcile wanting to be what he's always been-- the bodyguard, and being what's always seemed beyond him-- a husband and father. He's incredibly private with his love. It is the quiet moments, of timed glances and short phrases that convey his heart. Most people need an orchestra to hear something beautiful and not a single violin.

About Tag: Tag is a character that's been played over ten years. To keep his bio short, I've made it a bulleted list.

-Born Mamoru Tagahashi Kusinage in Japan 32 years ago. The feudal society he grew up in did not welcome the way Tag came into he world, which was as a product of his father's affair with a white woman.

-Tag was not exiled to hide and bury his father's transgressions. As punishment for his father he was trained in a prominent bodyguard school so that all who met him would know that it was his family, his father, who had harmed the honor and bloodline of his family. The training he endured was very demanding and Spartan-like.

-Tag was raised as a bodyguard whose greatest honor was to die protecting who he was assigned to. As a bodyguard, he was given a strict code of conduct. The main codes were-- 1) to be a bodyguard is to be a servant and not to make eye contact with the master or those of any position( to express an attitude of servitude). 2) to have no involvement with women or romantic relationships so that there is no personal distraction from work. 3) Speak only when necessary, so that you're aware and know well the person you protect and the surrounding situation 4) To die if you fail to safe keep your master 5) To be illiterate so that the messages you may be asked to carry, or documents handled, will be done so with the utmost assurance of your master's privacy 6) To keep emotions private so that they do not affect your master or offer a foothold for those that would threaten him 7)Never question or refuse an order.

- At sixteen he and all other bodyguards in that school had those codes tattooed on their back as a reminder that the code was to be with them always, as well as a visual indicator for others.

-At eighteen he, and those like him, were required not to speak for a year. He was graduated from the school and assigned to guard Lord Takashi and his family.

- When he turned nineteen there was a division in the feudal system. This came from Western influence. Concepts such as free will, self preservation (instead of the feudal system's preservation of society), and a greater informality were at war with the strict feudal system. Tag's interest in the war was that he desired, from watching Takashi's family, to be a father himself. It was a dream that went against his code. Some joined the Rebellion, such as Tag and his best friend. It was not long before Tag and his friend were the commanders of the Rebellion force. Though they fought bravely and with great tact, they were simply outnumbered.

-Having fought as part of the Rebellion, he was punished severely for four years. His father, being a famous and well known fighter, was the only reason he was not executed or expected to. Instead they reported that he had been executed and exiled him from the country to serve the rest of his days on his own. The land tag came upon was Rhydin.

-Since he had grown up in such a structured environment, he was unable to do much else but continue to live by the structure he'd known. He took whatever bodyguard jobs he could get.

-After several years he found that he was slightly less reserved and prepared to be a father. He began seeing a woman, Claudia, and proposed. They never married. He began seeing Rona.

-He continued to be a bodyguard until he was 25, where age, his war wounds and training injuries began to catch up with him. Reluctantly, he had to begin to occupy himself another way. He and Rona were engaged. They never married.

-Rona left Tag. He tells himself that perhaps, for reasons outside the feudal system, he is not meant to be a father. Rona carried ribbons with her everywhere-- he carried one as a bracelet, a symbol that the dreams men want are not always what is real.

--To fill the void of being unable to become a parent, he left Rhydin and opened his own orphanage. Rona visited once or twice to help before she disappeared entirely. At most he had eight orphans, who he loved intensely. It was hard for him to watch the children get adopted out. He felt he couldn't keep opening his heart to children and letting them go. It felt too much like losing a child, his dream, over and over. Once the last child had been adopted out he closed the orphanage and sold the building off.

-Craving the structure he had when he was a bodyguard, Tag returned to Rhydin. Realizing that his name, Mamoru Taghashi Kusinage, or Kusinage, was awkward, he decided that a nickname, derived from his middle name was appropriate. He started to introduce himself as Tag.

- Currently found under part-time employment at Dr. Maranya's ranch, working with her horses beside Ian and Madi. The closest he could get to being a bodyguard was to look after and aid Dr. Figmund Sroid at his clinic for those suffering from mental disorders.

-It wasn't long after that that, amazingly, he and Rona came across each other again. It was not long that the two of them renewed their relationship. Tag failed to find an inner peace and, with so many other little issues at hand, broke the engagement and joined Madi in Lofton, where he helps her as a companion for her quest for answers. In the process, he hopes to find his own.

- Lilli is teaching him to read and write, a talent he hopes to build on so that when he gets married he can read his vows. Also, he wishes to read the books Madi is so passionate about.

- Injured by a bear trap, a possible friendship with Liang is growing as the man offers his services to help Tag repair his property. Initially, Liang made him homesick for Japan but slowly... he is noticing how much Liang seems to know about him which he didn't tell him. A suspicion has begun to grow.

- His engagement to Rona having fallen through, Tag has accepted the idea that he isn't meant to be a husband an instead, adopted a little girl named Penny so he could fulfill the dream of being a father.

Roleplaying Opportunities: That's where he is now. He's open for use in a SL, though he does have some SL stuff going on currently. Want to play someone from his past for kicks? Sounds like fun. Your character need a back story? He could be the one that raised them in an orphanage, or the one that was their bodyguard at a bad time. I'm all about furthering his already HUGE story even more!!
